HIGH SCHOOL AND JUNIOR HIGH
SECURITY PROCEDURES

 ALL VISITORS MUST ENTER AND PARK IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL
THEY ARE VISITING AND RECEIVE A VISITOR’S BADGE TO GET ON
CAMPUS.
 ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS WILL BE ON CLOSED CAMPUS FOR THE
FIRST 3 WEEKS OF SCHOOL. A DECISION ON OPEN CAMPUS WILL BE
MADE AFTER THE START OF SCHOOL.
HIGH SCHOOL DROP-OFF (Students not driving): Royal Lane (walk through the gates) or in front of
Junior High and enter through the sidewalk gates.
HIGH SCHOOL Parking (Students driving): New Gym Parking Lot (Park in the spaces on the outside)-
Parking lot across from Field House.
JUNIOR HIGH DROP-OFF: Royal Lane (walk through gates) or in Front of Junior High (walk through
sidewalk gates).
BUS DROP-OFF: Buses will enter through the swimming pool entrance gate and drive to the breeze way by
the LEAP Building. Students will enter school through the breeze way by the LEAP Building.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARRIVING LATE/RETURNING TO CAMPUS (Students not driving): In
front of the high school. Enter off Royal Lane. Students must sign in late in the office of the Auditorium
Building (Student will get a tardy slip).
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARRIVING LATE/RETURNING TO CAMPUS (Students driving): Pull up to
the entrance gate by the swimming pool and push the button. The secretary will sign student in and open the
gate (Student must get a tardy slip from main office).
JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS ARRIVING LATE: Drop off in front of Junior High. Secretary will sign the
student in (Secretary will record the tardy).
VISITOR SIGN-IN: Visitors to the Junior High/High School will enter off Royal Lane and park in visitor
parking in front of the school they wish to visit. They will enter the school, they want to visit, and sign-in at
the window and receive a visitor badge. They will leave by signing out at the same window and return their
visitor’s badge.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SIGN-OUT (Students not driving): Parent may call and sign student out or
parent may enter the Auditorium Building and sign student out at the window. The student will be called to
the office and leave through the Auditorium Building.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SIGN-OUT (Students driving): Parent may call to sign student out. Student will
be called to the office and leave to their car. The student will drive out the exit gate by the swimming pool
(The gate will automatically open when student pulls up to it.
JUNIOR HIGH STUDENT SIGN-OUT: Parent will enter the Junior High and sign student out at the
window. Student will be called to the office to leave.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT AFTER SCHOOL PICK-UP: Parent may pick-up student on Pershing and exit
on Rodman (Gates will be open) and parent may pick-up student in the teacher parking lot.
JUNIOR HIGH AFTER SCHOOL PICK-UP: Parent will pick-up student in front of the Junior High and
exit on Rodman.
BUS PICK-UP IN THE AFTERNOON: Buses will pick students up on Royal Lane. Handicap bus will pick
up by the Life Skills Building.
GATES LOCKED/UNLOCKED: Entrance/Exit gates by swimming pool will be closed at 8:05 am. These
gates will be opened 10 minutes before school releases. East gates will be closed at 7:05 am and opened at 3:00
pm. Student exit sidewalk gates (between JH/HS, by Auditorium Building) will be closed at 8:05 am and
opened 5 minutes before school ends.
PEP RALLY—JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL: Entrance and exit gates by the swimming pool will be
opened 30 minutes before pep rally starts. Parents will park in New Gym Parking Lot. Same for all special
program parking.
