Cisco ISD Cheer Information

The Cisco ISD Board of Trustees updated the Cisco High School Cheer Constitution and Cisco Junior High School Cheer Constitution at its January 18, 2023 Regular Board Meeting. Beginning in 2023, student vote will no longer be a factor in cheerleader selection. In addtion, cheer tryout judges will now be required to be certified through the National Cheer Associaiton (NCA), Universal Cheer Association (UCA), or other nationally recognized cheer association. While judges may be cheerleaders at local universities or colleges, each judge must have certification through a national association. Changes were made to better reflect the practices of today’s cheer programs in school districts throughout the state.
